At the core of DDAIF is KIBIT, FRONTEO’s proprietary natural language processing AI engine. While many conventional AI approaches focus on integrating and reorganizing existing knowledge, KIBIT is designed to uncover previously unreported relationships hidden within scientific literature—an approach we call “non-continuous discovery.”
By combining KIBIT with the expertise of experienced drug discovery scientists and AI engineers, FRONTEO generates novel, biologically meaningful hypotheses across the drug discovery and development lifecycle. DDAIF supports a broad range of applications, including novel target identification, disease mechanism analysis, biomarker discovery, indication expansion, drug repositioning, asset evaluation, and virtual experiments.
FRONTEO is expanding collaborations with pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies, and academic institutions, moving beyond AI analysis toward co-creation models that connect AI-generated hypotheses with experimental validation and the creation of new drug discovery opportunities.
At AIDDD 2026, FRONTEO will showcase how AI can go beyond accelerating the search for what is already known—and help scientists discover biology that has never been reported.
